I'm tyring to figure out where to get glass to put on the top of a coffee table I'm building. Anybody know any good places to buy something like that? We're talking 72"x28" or so here, so craft store stuff won't cut it (that I know of). 4/21/2006 11:41:07 AM |

are you sure you want glass? it might crack easily. not to go against your design intentions, but i've had experience with that.
if you want a nice acrylic, which you can get in multiple thicknesses, you can go to capital plastics, off capital of course. but it'll be VERY expensive.
i think home depot sells glass sheets. but i don't know of the quality, nor the size you can get. 4/21/2006 1:31:42 PM |

i think lowes sells glass up to either 60" or 72" pretty cheap and it will take about a minute to cut it... the also have plexi up to 3/8" i think which would probably be a lil more $ 4/21/2006 8:22:18 PM |

I'd prefer glass, somehting thick and tempered with nice rounded edges. I'll take a look over at Lowes today, and I'll look into Raleigh Glass like ambrosia1231 suggested. Any other ideas?
When I do find something that will work I'll post pictures of the completed project. 4/23/2006 11:40:17 AM |
