My boyfriend and I are getting a new kitten and we need to establish a good vet. We need one with good prices (of course) and where you can get good reliable vet services. Anyone know of a good one? What about the NCSU vet school? Do they do regular vet services? If so are they any good/well priced? Your help's appreciated! 4/21/2006 11:27:24 PM |

THe Vet school is not where you go for normal visits... you could I guess but you are paying for board certified specialists in everything and that gets expensive fast.
Oberlin always gets good recommendations. I know a good one in Wake Forest but its out of the way for you. Some will suggest Bowman but it runs a bit more expensive and some push hollisitic medicine. 4/21/2006 11:33:40 PM |

yeah, crossroads. I took my dog there when we lived nearby, and still do. They are really good and nice and fairly priced. 4/22/2006 12:21:44 AM |

Gentle Care Animal Hospital off Tryon is really good. My dog and cat both go there and I love the vet/techs. They're really knowlegable, good prices, and aren't over the top about animal care (like pushing stuff on you that's really unnecessary or too preachy) 4/22/2006 10:44:07 PM |

PetSound animal hospital, off Tryon Rd right behind WakeMed hospital

I work with their rescue, and the people & vet are great. The prices are cheaper than Crossroads (took my puppy there for a while, then learned of PetSound). 4/23/2006 12:29:11 AM |

Boulevard Animal Hospital, the vets are fantastic there, very warm and friendly and will explain to you anything they are doig to the animal. They encourage you to ask questions if you're curious. Maybe a little expensive but I dont really know prices by comparison since I'm really very happy with Blvd. It's right off of Western Blvd. so close to campus. 4/24/2006 8:47:52 PM |
