I still have some issues with script debugging finding errors on some pages that firecrap doesn't have issues with.

However, I live with them because the alternatives aren't any better.

^ I had that problem too. Tried it on my laptop and every time it opened a tab it crashed. Ah well, firefox doesn't treat me badly as it is.

sounds like a bunch of PEBCAK.

fyi, if you don't have a legit copy of windows, it wont work right.

Yea i didn't have any stability issues. Its actually pretty quick too. I just hate the interface.

Theres also a bug i wonder if one of you could try to duplicate.

Go into options
turn off tabs
close IE
start IE back up
minimize IE
restore IE

When i did this on my work comp it gave me an extra toolbar right below the command bar. This is where the tabbed bar would be if tabs were on.

^^ Windows XP Pro that came with the computer from dell... I doubt they're installing pirated copies.

This is my second machine, a cheapo dell laptop. Using a fresh install of xp pro SP2 with latest updates (reformatted and reinstalled everything 2 days ago.) There's really nothing on there but windows to possibly be fucking up IE. I haven't even gotten around to installing firefox on that machine. The only software I've installed is the standard gamut of security software.

IE6 ran fine by the way. The system is stable doing anything in there and playing dvd's and the other few things I've used it for.

just for reference.. I tried IE7 on my two work laptops - both running XP Pro with legit business licenses
i actually had to blow away one of the machines and set it up as a demo client box for a day and as soon as it was up and operating beyond all windows updates.. i installed IE7 - same damn problem

the box at home I tried it on was also XP Pro with a legit license

same scenario on every machine where a new tab crashes the box

another co-worker is running it on his laptop with no crashing problems.. but every now and then when he visits a site.. say.. tdub for example.. the wolf icon will appear on all tabs until it decides to change to some other site he visits.. other than that is runs like a champ on his box *shrug*

I've been using IE7 since feb, and I don't have any real problems with it.

It's nice to be able to use the native browser in windows (naked) and not be bombarded with popups.

I've stopped using avant and firefox, as the new IE uses less ram.
