i have an interviewed scheduled today. considering being a volunteer. as anyone done this? what should I expect?

My honey does this. Like once a week or so he will meet his little brother and they will eat out, throw ball, work on maths & physics, watch movies, etc etc. I mean it is self-explanatory, you do stuff with these kids as you would with a younger sibling, and mentor or coach them with various things if your interests match. You can also choose to get involved in the BBBS council in your area and help organize events, interact with other "bigs", etc. Fun stuff.

nice. i figured I should do something. my weekends have been consisting of drinking lately and recently popping pills.

i figured it's time to be a role model or something. hopefully there are some good looking Big Sisters in the program.

Which area/region are you based out of? I tried looking into it here in the triangle area, but wasn't sure of how active the program down here is. Then I gave up coz I have my hands in too many things as it is...

yeah. the interview was like 2.5 hrs and mostly trying to weed out pedder-asses (no homo).
