umm, hello, i saw a 1TB drive (Maxtor) at a local bookstore for $1,000.

and i am not even in the US.

so how is this news?

btw, is Maxtor reliable?

i hope so, because i bought their 200GB drive.

the maxtor 1TB drive is an external drive. Its actually 2 500GB HDDs in raid.

when I rip straight from my miniDV cam, it easily takes up that much space. More even.
