one thread for all of the nba playoffs is not enough

next year we should just make one thread for the entire ncsu football season, no individual game threads

there is zero reason to lock this

it isnt about the playoffs in general, it is about kobe bryant

[Edited on April 30, 2006 at 6:47 PM. Reason : probably the best player of our generation, unless bron or wade just explode in a few years]

yea but that was CC about a very specific thing

this thread is about kobe bryant being the new jesus and the most clutch MFer ever

the CC thread had basically nothing to do w/ basketball except that the event happened during a bball game

and CC and ST arent the same forum, in case you didnt realize

Kobe Bryant singlehandedly willing the lakers into the playoffs and probably beating their first round opponents with virtually no supporting cast is unbelievable, and it is a travesty that he didn't win MVP.

As Jim Boeheim would say: "The lakers wouldn't have won 10 fucking games without Kobe Bryant. Not 10."

This inspires me to start a laker dynasty on NBA Live 06.

yes, you are correct.

But for me, who has no (working) system, and a fast as hell PC with a connection to the internet (and therefore file sharing sites), NBA Live will have to do.

kobe's supporting cast is not that bad. its not their fault he doesnt pass them the ball. now he's passing and now they're scoring. what a concept.

Great post, I'm sure you are the same guy who ripped the Lakers for their off season moves the past few years. Trading Shaq: Right Move, and I said that at the time because if it was one or the other, Kobe is younger and easier to build around. All Kobe and the Phil were able to do was to take perenial under achievers, Odum, Kwame, Cook, and gave them all the confidence they needed, can you spell MVP, becuase Kobe has spelled it out for 9 of 22 Steve Nash.

I'm not gonna lock it until someone tells me why I should, I don't see a particularly good reason.

Show me why.

just because some whiners don't like kobe is not a valid reason to lock it.

...And here's the comment about the alleged rape in Colorado, and how some aspect of his game tangentially relates to that entire incident.

It would be funny if Kobe told the media that if Nash is in fact the MVP, their only chance to give him the trophy will be next game since he won't anymore this season.

Kobe should have won MVP award..
fact that Nash is white and he was MVP last year and he played better than last year on worse team made him MVP...

Kobe's game now is a must watch game since the 81 point performance or even before..

I don't get how Marion was considered for MVP as well and Nash gets it. What I mean is that there are so pretty good players on that team. Like people who say Billups is the MVP. WTF?

I just don't like Kobe, but I have to give him props for being one of the best, if not best player in the game. He has shown he can be badass no doubt. I like that he winning in playoffs using his teammates. He is not winning by pulling an Iverson 45-50 points a game. He is actually passing and including his team for the most part.

I hate him, but I guess they will get to 2nd round, but I hope he gets swept...

I don't care what anyone says, and I'll even throw in that I was, and am, a Jordan freak.

but Kobe is the closest thing to that dude, and given the right context, is as good.

Lebron is on his way, too.
