pvtjoker and i were talking about this the other day
thought they may have cancelled it because tickets werent on sale

tix are on sale on etix for $17 each after charges.

yeah this show is sold out....

saw the roots last year....fucking AWESOME.....but I wanted to see Common this time.

e-mail from the venue (i guess they sent it to everyone that ordered etix):
The Roots show has been Cancelled due to
construction delays. You will be refunded for you
tickets shortly. We apologize for any inconvenience.

they sent another e-mail about an hour ago:

The Roots show is on!!!!!

Due to circimstances beyond control of the
artists,sponsors and promoters, Amos Southend has
been forced to temporarily close. The show has
been moved to THE FORUM located at 300 N. COLLEGE
STREET less than 2 miles away. All tickets
purchased through etix are being automatically
refunded. In an effort to support our fans,
individuals who purchased tickets in advance will
be offered priority admission from 8 p.m to 10
p.m. at the Forum. You must have a photo ID and
credit card in the name of the etix purchaser to
be eligible. Since all etix purchases are being
refunded tickets must be re=purchased at the door.
Admission will be only $10. Due to last minute
change in venue we cannot guarantee admission or
sight lines, however we will be providing a live
video feed thoughout the venue. We apologize for
any inconvenience an hope you will join us at the
FORUM

looks like it's just some random nightclub or something, not sure if i'll still go. sounds shady/like it will get cancelled

Everyone who bought advance tickets thru etix.com
will get in free at the FORUM located at 300 n
college street to see the ROOTS. The Admission

i'm meeting up with a mate (who has tickets off etix, but he bought htem) and getting tickets off him.. not quite sure what is going on.

check out the forums on okayplayer.com if you haven't. show sounded like it was pretty awesome but the venue and situation apparently sucked, which is what i expected and why i didn't go.

i saw the roots play the big free concert at ohio state and it was 3.5 hours of NON STOP, get down, sickness. i'd like to read some reviews of this one.
