wow, never thought I would say this about a superman movie, but that looks pretty damn good.

I was sold the second I saw Spacey as Lex Luthor.

holy shit

superman could be played by a rusty bucket

this movie may be turning out to be like Batman (1989) when Jack Nicholson got all the attention instead of Michael Keaton. Kevin Spacey will bring a wide audience to see his performance.

You know, in my day, "leaked" didn't mean published by the production studio.

Dude, this looks insane. I still think that new guy can never top Christopher Reeve but Spacey definitely one ups Gene Hackman.

You know, in my day, "one ups" didn't mean is ripping off the characterization of Luthor as portrayed by.

i loved the new music from the first trailer, it was a great tribute to the original music.

that said, including the original music in the second trailer made me even more convinced that superman has indeed returned.

now all i need is a good "batman begins" sequel and a kickass spiderman 3 and all my superhero dreams will be fulfilled...

Tom Welling would have been a good pick for it. He even has more muscle which would have filled out the superman costume better.

supposedly kevin spacey makes his luthor more sinister than hackman, which is probably a good thing

Brandon Routh (Superman) actually looks and sounds like a young Chris Reeves; its about as close as you could get. im gonna go into it the way i did Batman Begins- i went in with zero expectations, and it turned out to be one of my all-time favorites. i think its gonna be one hell of a movie.

We should be getting this movie at the IMAX theatre here in Raleigh too. We have also been told that parts of it will be in 3D in IMAX only, which is going to be interesting to see how that works.

eh... i think the story line is gay. they already did the lex luthor discovers the fortress of solitude bit and superman's secrets shit. also, i could do with less of the lois lane love affair, but i understand that's a critical part of the comic book series. still, it doesn't have to be the focus.

still, i've been pumped about this movie for years now, long before it was even filmed. who doesn't love superman, right? i'm looking forward to what today's technology can bring to the series, as well as kevin spacey's performance. i loved his personality in the scene they showed in the trailer where he was fucking with lois lane. he drew me in, and i laughed my ass off when he said, "nooooot!"

Hell, Superman doesn't do anything for me but I'm looking forward to the movie. Probably the Spacey as Luthor thing. It has to be. Or the "S" on the belt buckle. That's hilarious.

Trailers often use unfinished CGI.

See also: Spider-Man.

Little dissapointed in the Kate Bosworth selection. She's alright and I know they probably weren't trying to go big-time actress with the small-time Superman character....but I think they could have done a little better.

You know who I'd kinda like to see play Lois Lane? Eliza Dushku. And you know who would've made a great Lana Lang 10 years ago? Sarah Trigger.

Yes sir. I wonder if she's a good enough actress for this movie. She also might be too hot.

Well, considering that Superman explored the whole power and responsibility thing for over 20 years before Spider-Man was conceived, you have to wonder who really ripped whom off.

since the last two, Superman 3&4, blew so much ass in WB's eyes, this one takes place after Superman 2. he supposedly leaves for like 5yrs and then returns. i mean hey, if we didnt have Superman 3, there wouldnt be Office Space!
