Anyone use the upside app? I was hardcore exxon cause I could get about $200/year but I'm thinking with upside since I can link gas card and double up on recetrac points, I could get closer to like 600/year. Appearently about a year ago there were folks getting 2-3k/year but they closed the loophole where you could stack codes

I used to use it but then the place I usually go stopped offering a discount and I started getting gas at BJs instead.[Edited on February 27, 2025 at 10:59 PM. Reason : sometimes I still check there's a couple other spots I sometimes end up that have it]

I've gotten like $13 in the past week or so. And get those racetrac points, so in about 1.5 more years I could be "sultan of soda" where I can get Man...they got rid of "sultan of soda". Was supposed to be like a free coffee every day. Back to the drawing board. Although 7¢ per gallon is less than the 10-15¢ I see on upside(without codes that sometimes makes it like 40¢ per gallon[Edited on February 27, 2025 at 11:16 PM. Reason : Heard about some stations no longer showing up if frequently used...but i drive all over...]

I sold my soul to the devil on 12/11/24 and downloaded the QT app., since it is my local go-to fill up place.I use a QR code at the pump to unlock the pump and save $0.25/gal.To date I have saved $56.97.

Costco has some pretty cheap gas

^^jelly, would love .25. I'm at 15.52 since about Feb 20 or so with upside, most of the time between .1-.15/gallon, still better than exxons .07, and it is money I can keep versus just saving the money on gas(helping me vs helping my company)The first fill up i got some bonus thing, it was like .42/gallon for the first fill up. And at least I can double dip, however not only did racetrac rejigger their tiers etc....read more thoroughly yesterday, whether i was tier 1 or tier 5(which is like 4000 gallons a year! Wtf...) the free drink is no longer a coffee. i don't even like their gas but they and valero(which i never use and am unsure if they have a cash back loyalty program) offer the most on upside

^ Are you saying that it helps you in the long run by moving up tiers between filling up for yourself and your employer? It has never benefitted me to save my company $ on travel expenses. $4.00 gas by an airport - sounds good! $3.50 gas a 1/2 mi. away - fuck that! I'll never see that $5.00 I saved the company by driving 1/2 mi. for a cheaper price. My boss asked me to download the Upside App (or a similar clone) and input his account # every time I filled up. No thanks.

^I have a fleet card for gas for work. So saving .25/gallon like you doesn't benefit me, I'd save my company that money. Exxon or using upside(which doesn't appear exxon ever participates with) is me earning cash back that I can use for personal vehicle in the case of exxon or simply deposit into my bank account in the case of upside
