Not really, but this could be a good idea.

BTTT because I know some of the people in my class are on here.
Did that suck for you? Because it sucked for me.
(I'm just curious if he'd introduced the definition of a cut-set before or what.) 5/4/2006 3:47:19 PM |

I just got OWNED!!! He did mention the cut set thing, but in no way did he go into detail about it like his exam question did. He better lay a massive curve on us, or else theres gonna be alot of us taking the shit again. 5/4/2006 3:52:19 PM |

That's my feeling. I just looked up what cut-set was in the reading (I completely missed it, so it was probably on a day when I left to deal with some diabetes crap) and I see that I got that problem completely wrong on the test.
Based on how many people there were stuck in there when I left, and given how many people just sat there staring at it, I don't see how he couldn't either curve the final or drop that grade. The old tests didn't really prep me for it, either.
I think you're right on the curving thing. In the engineering economy exam it was pretty clear that he had kind of fucked up, what with the average class test score going down about 20-25 points for that one.
Quite a shame too. Maybe he'll figure something out. 5/4/2006 4:12:30 PM |

Yeah, we'll see. I sure hope he does something though, I cant afford to be failing classes. 5/4/2006 4:29:54 PM |

Me either. I could theoretically fit in a CE375 class next semester with a different professor. But not him. It would ruin my work schedule completely and be a complete pain in the butt.
Really though, given how everyone else was looking at that final, I think it's a pretty sure bet that he's going to have to curve it, or just give everyone C's. 5/4/2006 4:34:34 PM |
