black/white female cat escaped tues night @ about 8:30 pm and hasnt been back.

in raleigh, off jones franklin rd near the athens drive intersection.

shes really sweet, im afraid someone tooke her in since she is not normally outdoors and doesnt have her ID on her.

she is a little over a year old, about 10 lbs, doesnt really answer to Lucy, and likes to gnaw on fingers playfully and have her tummy scratched.

thanks.

I would post some fliers if you're worried about her getting taken in. That said, If i'm over in that area anytime soon I'll stop to look for your kitty.

i hope you find her.

(Obligatory- please put a collar and tag on her when you get her back)

she hates her collar, always manages to get it off when shes inside, i never let them out on purpose, she would probably lose it outside too.

im working on flyers

My cat got out. I made little mailers to attach to the mailbox. While the cat came back, the mailers were very successful. Had a lot of calls.

i think i've seen a vets office on jones franklin on the right side of the road as you head towards cary, & a vets office on western blvd. maybe you could put up posters there at those nearby vet offices. i live on in the sumter square area, so i'll keep an eye out while driving around the area for the next couple of days. good luck find your cat!

also does she have claws? an out doors declawed cat would be easier to identify. any other distinguishing marks?

I hope you find her. She was a sweet kitten, and I'm sure she's sweet now as well. Hopefully someone has her but your fliers get her back. Certainly hope nothing bad happens to her.

^^^ microchipping costs anywhere from $20-$70 depending on your vet.
all vets do it now. its a microchip the size of a grain of rice that is implanted in between the shoulder blades of an animals.
and there's clinics that offer them for $20/$25 too.

you then register the microchip with an animal recovery service. HomeAgain and CAR (companion animal recovery) are two popular ones. costs aroun $10-$17 depending. and you can do all the paperwork online.

its a worthy investment and gives owners piece of mind in case their pet ever get seperated.

but i really hope you find your kitty. our cat escapes once in a while and comes back the next day.
try putting a can of tuna fish or wet food out. the smell might attract her back.
