thomas is a good player, but i think his abilities have been amplified by dragging out his commitment. he's gone from decent post prospect to the savior of dook's season next year.

he is exactly what duke needs, a 6-8 or 6-9 guy who is athletic and is a good rebounder. he fits in perfectly. he will make duke much much much better.

Think about that line up next year for the Dukies, it is not nearly as bad as it is made out to be. McRoberts, Nelson, Paulus, Henderson, and young All Americans in Boykin, Thomas, Pocious. Watch out for the Devils to mature throughout the season and make a run in March, the ACC is not going to be a cake walk for UNC like a lot of people think.

i would argue that this duke team could be better prepared to go deeper in the tourney than last years.

if K actually uses the bench, then Duke should be a deep team. There was no reason for Duke not to be a deep team last year, but really only 7,8 guys played.
