I just want to say that as much as I like "The Poseidon Adventure" of the 1970's, this remake is due for a huge failure based solely on how desparately they are trying to promote it. And that's too bad. 5/10/2006 9:10:04 PM |

all i can say is the movie is directed by Wolfgang Petersen.
That's enough for me to check it out. Aside from being German Wolfgang also brought us a lot of good shit.
Das Boot, In the Line of Fire, Outbreak, Air Force One, The Perfect Storm, Troy, and he is working on Ender's Game. 5/10/2006 9:47:59 PM |

I have a love/hate relationship with him, but mainly just due to the buildup of hate I have for Troy.
Das Boot was great, though. 5/10/2006 11:47:41 PM |

Does Hollywood plan on coming out with a non sequel/remake any time in the next decade? Cause I might want to see a movie like that. 5/11/2006 7:46:17 AM |

Seriously. I remember watching this short little thing about how invested they were in reading The Aeneid to make the script, etc. They apparently never even read it or The Odyssey. 5/12/2006 1:17:44 AM |

What's funny is that, in sequel-crazy Hollywood, it's inevitable that they make The Odyssey. How will Petersen explain their mysterious resurrection??? 5/12/2006 9:12:14 AM |

Quote : | "Poseidon…God of the See this movie. This was surprisingly good. Josh Lucas is now my hero and God does answer prayer (that is in regards to Fergie).
There isn’t too much I want to say about this movie…it’s exciting (or funny) and has a lot of Final Destination-esque scenes in it. There are actually some pretty gory deaths and it was pretty fun to watch.
But again, Fergie, Fergie, Fergie. I was waiting for her to sing about her humps, her humps, her lovely lady lumps. Instead, she pretended to be a real singer (like Pinocchio pretending to be a real boy). This movie is def. worth watching in my opinion though. It’s one of those that if you don’t like it…you’ll find plenty of laughable parts in it. Go check it out…it’s much better than Titanic. " |

ok I did some research and its estimated to have cost 150-200 million dollars. Though most places said it was around 165 million. 5/13/2006 6:19:43 PM |
