^^Yes, post your # and we'll pick you up for a night out in beautiful Raleighwood.
In all seriousness, with friends and the right places Raleigh can be pretty damn fun. There is plenty more to do than Columbus...

If you want to meet new people, don't do it in the bars. The Raleigh bar scene is all about groups of friends going out and mingling with other groups of friends. If you go out by yourself looking to meet new people, you will get the skeezoids coming out of the corners, even moreso being a girl.
My advice: get into a gym or activity group of some kind. Once school starts in the fall you will be around classmates and should have no trouble meeting good people. You can always check the carmichael gym schedules for classes, and meet people from the classes (yoga, pilates, etc) or go out to the rec sports like ultimate frisbee or soccer.5/13/2006 12:44:38 AM |

most of the classes at carmichael are free (except for yoga i think). but, since its summer, you will have to pay $30 to use the gym for the summer starting the 22nd. but in the fall and spring its free w/ your tuition. 5/14/2006 1:45:20 AM |

Yeah it's really cheap for the summer, and free during enrolled semesters.
Definitely worth it. You can also just find normal people like myself to go out with and meet new people. But that's pretty hard without already knowing people to network with 5/14/2006 3:34:45 AM |

^yeah I got that part...
It is habit to add an 's' to common stores around here. Like, KrogerS. A bad habit perhaps.
