Someone please pick this apart. Tell me how it isn't innovative, or new, or how it's stupid, tell me I'm an idiot and just be the general douche hats that you are.

yea, no reason this shouldnt work. Only problem with it I can see is how they are extracting the methane from the waste. That's the caveat that makes most potential biodiesel conversion applications not commercially viable. Very interesting though

Well Hank Hill thinks it's in propane and propane accessories, so that must be the answer.

^^ It very well could be. Methanol is pretty much the best physical energy transport medium we have access to. Very easy to process into ethanol/hydrogen, works as a vehicle fuel, very safe for transport, and its a good common medium for producing other petro products (plastics, etc).

^Only problem with propane is transport, which is fairly safe, but you still have to transport it either as a gas or as a compressed liquid. Other than that it's another good transport medium

from what i understand, they are not trying to get methane out of it; they squeeze the oil out, just like you would squeeze sunflower seed to get vegetable oil

also im fairly positive methanol and methane are two different things. methanol is a liquid under stp and methane is a gas.

Beyond Thunderdome is where they run Bartertown off of methane from pig shit.

I don't remember an allusion to methane in The Road Warrior (Mad Max II).

Though there were a few in the original Mad Max
