I remember years back seeing an NCSU diploma frame at one of the bookstores that is made for double majors so they can put both of their diplomas in one frame. Does anybody know if those are still sold around here because I checked around and didn't seem to find them anywhere? 5/14/2006 3:34:27 PM |

I thought I saw one at the bookstore this year, but maybe not if you didn't. Craft shops like AC Moore and Michael's frame and do a really good job-and if you want something custom-they'll do it. Just a suggestion if you can't find what you're looking for. 5/14/2006 3:50:50 PM |

^ That's interesting ... I remember seeing them as well ... I think around $200 or so?
Anyways, I'd recommend two separate frames, one for each degree. You'll have a bit more flexibility with placement on a wall if you have two separate frames. This also allows for matching minor frames.
And wait till one of the big craft's stores has a sale before doing your purchasing. They have "sales" every week, but look for a 50% off type thing. I got both of mine done at Michael's for under $150 this way. 5/14/2006 7:41:03 PM |

I had one degree with two majors.... I don't consider it two degrees. 5/14/2006 7:54:07 PM |

^^I agree with the multiple frames idea, but I'll also be receiving my B.S. in Biological Sciences shortly as well and three separate frames might get really expensive. 5/14/2006 8:47:37 PM |

I graduated in Dec with 2 degrees. The company that does State's frames doesn't offer a two diploma frame however if you call them they will custom make one. It was basically the same price as 2 separate frames I believe tho.
My parents bought it b/c I told them I was going to buy a couple from wal-mart. 5/14/2006 11:23:30 PM |

why are they so goddamned expensive? i remember my mom wanted to buy me two of them (2 degrees), and I went to the bookstore and they were pretty expensive.
as far as i know, my diplomas are still in the folder they mailed them in, filed away in a filing cabinet under 'NCSU Stuff'

if you go to http://www.universityframes.com (who does the frames in the bookstore) you can get a frame for a double degree... I have no idea about price though. Also, check with Addams b/c they have frames through a different company.
I'm still trying to find the frame with the belltower lithograph, but in black and white instead of color... anyone know of anything? 5/15/2006 12:11:54 AM |

This is the company that makes them for the NCSU Bookstore: Framing Success. They have a double for sale, which is just alittle more expensive than the single, but it says (Pre 5/05). I dont know what the difference would be.

^the difference is in the size of the diploma. Prior to May '05, diplomas were smaller. 5/16/2006 8:38:24 PM |

^^Awesome, that's exactly what I was looking for! I'm gonna give them a call and see if they can make that frame for the new 11 x 14 diplomas. 5/17/2006 12:31:50 AM |
