My computer has got slow this week. I just found over 120,000 of these cases here. WHen I rerun AdAware my autoprotect onSymantec pops up and continues to find these, even after they have been removed. Is there a removal tool? My comp will not seem to allow me to restart in safe mode.

I need to see you drunk ... that would be highly amusing.

WOLF, look up how to run Symantec Antivirus from a floppy disk on Symantec's website. You'll need to create the disks from a non-infected computer. Report back to us with results.

Something quick to do.

First, make sure symantec is up to date. Second, go to IE (which you are most probably using) and click "tools" --> "Internet Options".

Delete your cookies, delete your files and close the browser. Deleting of files may take a few minutes even on a faster computer. Let it do it's thing.

Now rerun symantec. Generally this gets rid of this particular one. However, if it shows up again go to a professional. It'll cost you $50 to get it fixed.

slight chance, this is a work computer which I have to connect to a VPN and they restrict access and log every move... they wont even let me bring up my fantasy baseball.

Anyhow. I got to run in safemode by hitting F8, ran all the software over. Suprisingly AOL's security suite found the trojan over Norton Corporate edition (that NCSU supplies).

Problem gone, thanks to those who replied with suggestions. Seems all the CSC's guys think there such hot shit to offer any real advice.

wait...if it was a work computer and they restrict your every move - why didn't you just hand it off to your local IT professional. I mean that's what their paid for and all.

judging by the way you faggots react to questions you actually know the answer to, i'd say he's sick and fucking tired of having to deal with you face to face

How are you trying to boot into safe mode? Usually you hit the F8 key before it tries to boot Windows
