I've always wondered... the Kentucky Derby is billed as the most exciting 2 minutes in sports or something like that... but there are like 100k ppl there, do they like have smaller races and events all day long? Or do they all show up, get drunk, place bets, watch race, and go home?

Yes, they have big races all day long. There are money races and races of different distances for different aged horses and everything.

Yeah, it's addictive as hell.

I sat down to try it out and ended up playing for a couple hours...managed to pull myself away after my horse won three straight races.

I like horse racing. How much did they pay for Philosopher King?

I didn't know you had to be 21 to get in at Pimlico, I went last year and I don't remember them checking id's. I'm going again on Saturday, its going to be the ish.

congrats on the win! do your horses race only in KY?

one of my relatives has a horse entered in the Hambletonian at Meadowlands, NJ in August, but unfortunately I'll be at the beach that week and can't go.

Here's what I don't get... ppl claim that Nascar isn't a sport...

In Nascar the drivers experience well over 100 degree temps for hours...

In horse racing, they beat the shit out of a horse with a crop and ride it for 2 minutes...

I've done worse than that to girls.

My point is not to say that horse racing isn't a sport, I've rode those type of horses and I know how it can be, but nigga plz... lay off of Nascar.

I will put 200 bucks saying you have never rode a true race horse in the same conditions and under the same circumstances and regulations those jockeys go through every day.

I can almost bet that much saying you have never rode a race horse at true sprint speed.

if so you would have respect for those guys and what they do every day knowing at any moment they could fall off or have something happen and it ruin their life.
im off my soapbox know, what a faggot.

The 1%'er event to compare hats.

In all seriousness we will see if CA Chrome is able to race for the Triple Crown as Belmont may not allow the nasal strips he has been using.
