I know we've got a lot of fans of Converge and Cave In here, but does anyone listen to Old Man Gloom? They rarely ever do live shows, since OMG consists of members of Isis, Converge, and Cave In.

It is quality stuff.

Isis is incredible, and what the fuck do you expect them to do when they are playing?

Their music doesn't exactly lend itself to jumping all over the stage and crowd interaction, etc.

Metalcore is boring to me.

i'm not saying that isis is boring live, i'm just saying they're flat-out boring. i generally don't like metalcore either. there are only a few metalcore bands i like (converge, coalesce, isis, ed gein). other than that, i fucking despise the genre. i have nothing against a band "progressing" or anything like that, but the new isis shit is a snoozefest. add to the fact that tons of metalcore fucks are now trying to cop their style and we've got a giant half-instrumental trite-ass third-wave mogwai rip that fails at being interesting in any way. at least they have sweet merch.
