Predictions?

I'm guessing the chinese are going to brainwash him and he is going to be working against CTU for at least the first part of the season.

Chinese will have a really tiny part of next season and will probably be taken care of by the 3rd or 4th episode. It will boil down to a much more thicker plot, involving communist eskimos from greenland trying to detonate a hydrogen bomb over us soil.

whatever happened to the weird guy who was in cahoots with the President? We never got him eradicated/taken care of....

Also, Henderson is probably still alive.. the whole idea was for him to fake his death like Jack. It didn't even look like Jack shot him...or he was wearing a vest or something.

And I could totally see the Chinese have him work for them b/c the dude said Bauer was way too valuable to kill.

jack bauer will escape and will be recruited by the chinese CTU counterpart.

the entire season will feature outsourced chinese clones of chloe o' brian, audrey heller, bill buchanon, martha logan, mike novick, aaron pierce, president logan, etc.

its going to be unsettling.

i was really hoping they would go back to the basics for next season... a terrorist plot against the city of LA that jack thwarts with the help of CTU agents going behind the back of the person(s) in charge of CTU at the time.

On a side note...There's an interview on the fox website with one of the producers. They are making a 24 movie, and it's going to be international (as in not based in LA but rather Europe, Asia, etc.). It won't be real-time obviously, but it will still take place in a 24 hour day.

Dunno how I feel about that.

Prediction...

US and China are somehow involved in some Cold War like standoff...

Chineese try to use Jack Bauer as a wildcard against US Gov using Kim/Chloe/Audrey as bait.

Then somehow, a missile is launched on US soil, CTU goes into lockdown, and someone from Division continues to be a dick.

Kim Raver (Audrey Raines), will be in a new ABC show this fall, "The Nine", so Id say that she will have at most a guest starring role (unless its being assumed that the new show will fail).

As for what happens, someone will threaten China or China and the US, and it will be quickly determined that the only person that can get the terrorists is Jack Bauer. Somehow a deal will be worked out and Jack will be back in L.A. by the third hour. The other possibility is they dont even deal with it, time has passed and Jack is free (kinda how Mandy tried to kill Palmer at the end of season two, but the whole issue was completely past tense by season three). One thing we do know is that when they wrote the season five ending, they were not even thinking about what season six would be, considering they make this shit up as they go along.

So if you think about it, next season will have to take place almost exclusively in China. Even if Jack gets out...the season only covers 24hr. I'd imagine its at least a 10hr flight from LA to China...so even if jack busts out in the 1st episode, and hops on a plane back to the US...he wouldn't get there until mid-season.

...just think its gonna be kinda weird watching a season of 24 in China. Anybody taking bets that the German intel guy comes back in the picture? (Desmond from Lost)
