I paid with paypal for $145 for a cell phone and the guy had 96% feedback with about 150. the negatives were dumb and i didn't count them against him.

i requested his contact info through ebay and now have his phone number so i'll try to contact him that way.

but... if i can't contact him, what should i do? i bought the paypal buyer protection (for the first time, lol) so i'm not too worried about it. (i just have to contact paypal w/in 30 days of the close of auction to get my money back).

what is the time limit he has to contact me? when should i leave negative feedback?

i searched on ebay and couldn't find it.

it's only been 5 days, but this is the longest it's ever been for an auction i've won and paid immediately for.

i'll call him tomorrow and update the thread i guess.

I have a similar problem. I sent the guy a check for $66 for a whalers sweater and he hasn't cashed it or contacted me since he said it arrived.

ya i'm giving it another 10 days before i do anything. first time someone hasn't contacted me.

Ok, just saw its only been 6 days. I would continue to try to email/call them. If no response, I would wait till two weeks from the close date, if you havent received the item and still havent heard from the seller start raising hell.

YEa not everyone will personally email you. especially if they sell a lot of stuff. I agree about waiting two weeks.

You can always go directly to your credit card company if you think its a case of fraud and have them retract the payment.
