It's funny that everyone thought this was the one guy that would stay committed to NC State because he would like Lowe's offense as opposed to Herb's.....now it looks like he's the only one that is going to leave (although Werner is close).

It's kind of funny. We're going to suck so much ass next year unless Trevor Ferguson becomes the great white hope.

he's a high school recruit...going to seton hall now instead of nc state, probably because sendek is gone...he has never played a single game of college basketball in his life but some people think we will go 0-32 next year since we dont have this kid that they've never even seen in person

No, only the top 3-4 teams of a 16 team conference are legit. Not even close to the best conference, may have a few awesome teams but when you look at it as a whole, there is no way they are at the top.

I remember losing Cliff Crawford, and then losing Powell a few months later, and thinking, this team next year is Hodge and that's it with no PG or Center, and that team went 11-5 in conf. (best the last 15 years) without an inside presence. If Ced stays, this team will be fine. Fells can run the point and give Engin a few plays off if need be. There's also plenty of time to get back into touch with Wright, however, I don't think we're going to miss this Davis guy too much, sure i'd liked to have landed him, but if playing at Seton Hall is where he wants to be, have at it. Also, I'd bet the university lets him out of his LOI, for future recruiting purposes of the area he 's from.

Also...you are banking on a lot of BIG ifs. Ced won't be back and Wright won't be here either (and he doesn't help your argument anyways because he wouldn't be here for 2 years even if he did recommit). And a backup point guard is a big deal in the ACC...especially an athletic one...especially when your starting point guard is Atsur. And Fells can run the point?? That's news to me. He might be able to defend the point guard...but then who will defend the opposing team's shooting guard??

At least next year will be interesting.

If Grant has better point skills than Fells I'll admit, this will be a long season, but Ferguson is still an unknown, so take that for what it's worth.

JBrick, I take it your sideswiped by this whole Larry Davis, back up point guard going elsewhere deal. I doubt he would provide serious help running the point offensively as a true frosh, as the only frosh to ever do anything the last 6 years was Hodge. However, there is plenty of time to get back on Wright weather you think so or not. Weather he comes here or not, I don't know, but he'll get our best shot.

If anyone expected us to reatain all of our 06 recruits, you expected a dream, not reality.

Although the last team to have "Larry Davis" on their team and leave did o.k.

Read my entire post. It's not just Larry Davis. You're calm and collective b/c you're still thinking Ced will stay and we'll still get Chris Wright. Then you throw even bigger ifs out there like Fells running the point. Although I'm a little doom and gloom, you can try and be at least somewhat realistic.
