I bought an new internal hard drive, had to buy the SATA cable and didn't get the right angle one and the parallel one sticks out too much for me to close my tower back up (dell). I went back to tigerdirect to retun my parallel one and they don't have any right angle SATA cables. I know I can get one on ebay but it would take a few days, trying to fix this issue now. Anyone know of any stores in Raleigh where you can get a right angle cable? Thanks

Tiger Direct sells them on their website, but I don't know if they stock them in their store on capital.

^^, called and they have them, thanks for the tip

^ Yea, I just went to the one on capitol and they don't have right angle cables, or at least not today. It's the contruction of the tower piece that I don't understand, a parallel cable would work but the removeable tower piece juts back into the computer enough to where it can't click in because it touches the parallel cable.

On another note, is there a quick way to put files on my new hard drive form my existing hard drive and still leave them on my desktop? Thanks.

are you looking to replace the hard drive completely? as in, take out your old pata drive and replace it with the sata one? or did you just want to copy files over to it?

if you're replacing the drive, you need to use something like ghost in order to copy EVERYTHING over so it will still boot right (otherwise you need to salvage your files and reinstall your os)...if you're just copying files over, then put in both drives and simply copy

if you need someone to ghost your hd, i'll do it for $20
