I have a 2002 Yamaha Zuma (2-stroke 50cc) that's been sitting since last Summer.
I replaced the battery and the spark plug. I cleaned and oiled the air filter. I drained the gas tank and put in fresh gas.
Now when I kick start it, it runs for a few seconds and then dies. It sounds like it's fuel starved but giving it throttle doesn't help. Any suggestions? I'll pay someone to fix it, if the price is right. 5/28/2006 4:15:29 PM |

Main jet has a nice coating of rotten gasoline tar and gum. 5/29/2006 1:49:32 PM |

not rebuild just clean the main and around in the float...my fourwheeler would do that while i was at school. 99cent can of carb cleaner from walmart and a clean rag should do the trick main jet should be in roughly the middle of what u see(on the carb body) when u take the float bowl off
