I have a 2002 Yamaha Zuma (2-stroke 50cc) that's been sitting since last Summer.

I replaced the battery and the spark plug. I cleaned and oiled the air filter. I drained the gas tank and put in fresh gas.

Now when I kick start it, it runs for a few seconds and then dies. It sounds like it's fuel starved but giving it throttle doesn't help. Any suggestions? I'll pay someone to fix it, if the price is right.

Main jet has a nice coating of rotten gasoline tar and gum.

not rebuild just clean the main and around in the float...my fourwheeler would do that while i was at school. 99cent can of carb cleaner from walmart and a clean rag should do the trick
main jet should be in roughly the middle of what u see(on the carb body) when u take the float bowl off

get a sharp knife and draw it across the front of your neck in a quick slashing motion. repeat as necessary.
