I can work Solidworks every which way and am wondering what sort of modeling software you use to model things like...guns/vehicles in video games..mainly, Battlefield 2, I thought id try my hand at it and see if i have any talent.

there's a free version of 3dsmax thats meant for game developers. I can't remember the name off the top of my head, but but its like ymax or gmax
edit: its gmax, discreet canned it (probably when autodesk bought them) http://www.turbosquid.com/gmax

i used milkshape for a project i did cuz it is free and easy to learn. i think that was used more for older games though like CS and quake. shrug. if you are just doing it for fun it couldnt hurt. 5/29/2006 12:50:29 PM |
