I have an extra monitor laying around for the summer that im holding for someone. Decided to hook it up run a dual monitor setup over the summer. I went ahead and set it up adjusted the resolution and everything of the second monitor and it looks exactly like i want on both monitors.
I can drag mozilla or whatever else and maximize it on my second monitor independent of my first. However, when I run a game, while in game, I cannot drag my cursor from my main monitor to my second *unless* I run the game in a windowed mode.
I would prefer not to run the games in windowed mode since, to me, the game does not look as good as it does regular full screen(instead of windowed maximized).
Any tips on getting around this and working the same fullscreen? Or perhaps its just something i can change within the nvidia settings so that windowed mode looks as good / the same as full screen?

edit: after running a color and gamma correction on my main monitor it looks almost as good now in game in windowed mode. and the "almost" might just be me seeing things since i dont know why it would look any worse this way really. but it still seems a bit off

do you understand how it works when you run a game not made for multi-monitor support in a dual monitor setup?
it appears to me you don't - read up 5/30/2006 7:59:10 PM |

meh. im only running the game on one of the monitors and ive seen two different friends run this game dual monitor and to me it looked fine on both of their computers. Its just a slight less sharp on my main monitor when im running both monitors. i can live with it i guess 5/30/2006 8:06:07 PM |

the question you asked has nothing to with running the game across two monitors. the former you cannot do, the latter you can 5/30/2006 11:16:45 PM |

yea sorry i think my last comment was unclear. i only want the game to run on one monitor and it does fine. but the only time it lets me move the mouse from the game to my other screen is if i run a game in windowed mode 5/30/2006 11:49:45 PM |

in which case you should heed the advice of Omar.
Running fullscreen puts your video card and monitor into hardware overlay mode. You can't just move your mouse over. The technology doesn't work like that. 5/31/2006 12:13:31 AM |
