Also, if you're on campus and you reset your DNS server to 4.2.2.1 or 4.2.2.2 most other things should work- that's under TCP/IP properties under your internet connection.

Quote : | "ITD - Service - Outage
Due to a catastrophic physical failure of the UPS (Uninterrupted Power Supply) system in a Hillsborough Building equipment room (Data Center 1) at around 7:45pm on Friday, June 2nd, campus lost many major computing systems, including networking, web services, and other services. Power has been rerouted to our emergency generator while the UPS vendor determines the cause of the failure as well as makes repairs to the equipment. As of this writing (12am June 3rd), services have been mostly restored, and systems staff from multiple units on campus are on hand to ascertain the extent of the damage.
More information will be posted as it becomes available. For now, the machine room will remain on generator power at least until the middle of next week, but definitely until service can be rerouted to the UPS. The switch back over to the UPS should not involve any outages or loss of services.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The UPS unit suffered damage from an unknown source, resulting in actual physical damage and smoke in an equipment room.
