By classic I mean fairly popular. Movies you hear people talking about a lot but have never seen.

i'll agree that it kind of slows down towards the end and gets a little weak

still a great fucking movie though

I haven't seen Gone With the Wind or Casablanca. The gf is showing me GWtW sometime soon and i'll probably rent Casablanca before summer ends. I've seen almost all of the other ones mentioned but let me think of a couple i haven't seen.

The Shining
Dr. Strangelove

^^i'm not going to post a spoiler in a thread filled at least 40% with people who have never seen it

and i do not suggest it isn't a great movie

i just get so attached to the characters in teh first 2 acts, i hate the third act

end of woodfoot's story

Whoever listed Scarface under Italian gangster movies, they're all Cuban. And that movie is insanely overrated.

Also, when did ripping on The Godfather become so popular? It's slow in some parts, but so are all movies of comparable length.

hating on the godfather?
apparently i'm a boring person, because I think every scene in the movie is perfection.

and I see where the goodfellas contention comes from.. the point where... yeah, i know how you're saying it might drop off, but personally, "paranoid helicopter chase day" is one of my favorite parts of the whole movie

I love Manhattan. I think Annie Hall actually is better though. and altough it's not his "best" film, I think I like Stardust Memories best.
