the fact that starbucks has to point to the cup and ask you if it is correct when you order shows inefficiency to me. if the customer has to learn your system you either are a douchebag company or have a retarded system.

i just say small, medium, or large, followed by "yeah whatever" when they ask for confirmation using their own terminology.

I ate at the Bojangles in Albemarle with my mom on Friday, right, and when I ordered my chicken filet biscuit combo with fries and iced tea, the lady behind the register asked me, "Medium?" Well, yeah, of course.

But see, after I paid, I happened to look at the menu...and there were two options for upsizing combos, MEDIUM and LARGE. She totally bilked me out of 39 cents! Well played, Bojangles...well played.

im sorry mr schmoe, but i fail to see the point where i said i had difficulty with the tall-grande-vente system. i get the fucking thing, but if you've never been it is confusing and retarded. there is abosolutely 0 reason to have the system in place besides (as ive said) being stupid or full of yourself.

the wendys system takes about 10 seconds to learn, but they are dropping it for the same reason.

The new Wendy's system actually makes the most sense. The medium size will actually be labeled "Medium" rather than the small being medium and the medium being large. Regular is small, Biggie is medium, and Great Biggie is large. Works for me.

same here, in wilmington. it blew my mind that they now came in different sizes. way too many choices. and then when i asked for extra seasoning for the fries, the lady gave me like 3 mg in a little swish cup with a lid. i guess they got tired of ppl stealing the shaker?

I had ordered a combo at Wendy's, they asked me what size. I did a doubletake for a moment, asked for a medium, saw that it cost extra, got a bit confused and quickly changed it to a small.

If they ask you what size, you're more like to say medium then replying "Yes" to Biggie-sizing it.

Jack in the Box has been doing the same thing. if i order a combo, they ask what size, and there are either 2 or 3 choices that cost extra, "small" being the regular price.
