Well you figured it would happen sooner or later, although I guess Hamas didn't originally intend to do that. 6/13/2006 12:17:27 PM |

I find it funny Hamas hasn't tried this, that we know of yet. Figure it would be very effective in forcing the muslim world against Israel. 6/13/2006 12:21:52 PM |

If these allegations are true, it is indeed a very sad turn of events. I can see why Hamas would be tempted to do so: with their election, the Palestinians are in a near civil war between the Fatah and Hamas factions. What better way to ease the bloodshed and turn attentions elsewhere than to bring up the Israeli boogyman. 6/13/2006 2:40:49 PM |

Obviously an accident. The fact that Hamas would try to cover it up and blame the blast on the Israelis is no big surprise, and this can't be the first time something like this has happened.
Hamas is in very bad shape right now, and most Palestinians are turning against them. The July 26 referendum on Palestinian statehood should prove it. Hopefully it leads to lasting agreements between Israel and the PA.

The sixth shell -- the first to be fired -- could not have killed the family because it was fired further north and too early, the sources said." |

The group said most of the injuries to the dead were to the head and torso. A Human Rights Watch spokesman said that would be consistent with an incoming shell, not a bomb buried in the ground.
Human Rights Watch also said the crater was consistent with a 155 mm artillery shell." |

yes, we will be the judges...
one side (jooz), has an agenda... to do whatever they can to maintain the illegal occupation.
the other side (hrw), has an agenda... to get to the truth.
seriously, when was the last time amnesty, or hrw were accused of lying?
anyway, there is no lying or not lying here... it is all speculation. one side (NOT AFFILIATED TO PALESTINIANS) says evidence points to jooz, the other side says the opposite.
it is all speculation.... there is no proof... only evidence.
btw, here are some more humanitarian painstaking actions taken by the jooz to avoid civilian deaths:
