I'll put in my own plug. I just started as a mechanical engineer at HSMM in Roanoke, VA. They are a large A/E firm and have jobs available for mechanical, electrical, and civil engineers at various offices along the east coast. They do buildings, civil & environmental, transportation, watersheds, and communications, and typically work on large federal government projects. If interested, go to http://www.hsmm.com and be sure to put me down as a reference if you apply (yes I want the recruitment bonus). Seriously though, I am impressed so far. An A/E firm with over 500 employees is pretty hard to come by. 6/16/2006 2:52:23 PM |

Screw the LAR postitions in Durham. Those jerks keep acting like they're desperate for help, but they wouldn't return my phone calls or e-mails last spring. But it worked out for me. I ended up with a much better job at a company that doesn't suck. 6/17/2006 10:22:24 AM |

Well, there are only 3 decent sized firms there and 2 of them were horrible about returning my correspondence. I thought it was funny because several people I know had similar experiences in their dealings with both of these offices. Yet for some reason, they're constantly advertising that they need help. 6/17/2006 4:15:25 PM |
