I've got a PC Chips K& motherboard, and for some reason when i install PCI cards and power it up, it will start for a couple of seconds and then shut off. When I remove the cards, the problem goes away. now I know it can't be power issues (as in lack of power) as I have a 530 watt power supply. I think a BIOS update MIGHT make the issue go away, but what to see if anyone else had any suggestions.

It's not any particular type; the motherboard rejects all PCI cards regardless of type.

What's the maximum power supply the board is designed to handle?

Other than that, the only thing I can think of is a loose screw / inproper mounting somwhere that would cause it to short out.
