I'm looking for Kary Mullis' original publication regarding the development/discovery of PCR (1983). All I can seem to find is his article appearing in Scientific American but it appears in 1990. Does anyone know of the original publication, or is this all there is? 6/18/2006 5:53:10 PM |

Enzymatic amplification of beta-globin genomic sequences and restriction site analysis for diagnosis of sickle cell anemia
RK Saiki, S Scharf, F Faloona, KB Mullis, GT Horn, HA Erlich, and N Arnheim Science 20 December 1985 230: 1350-1354
See if you can get hold of this publication. This is the first ever PCR publication, 2 years after the discovery by Dr. Mullis. The patent was filed in the same year. 6/19/2006 3:56:50 AM |
