cool, i'm trying to figure what to do for next to nothing to make it a decent contender

i gotta yank the heads and fix the burnt valves, and pop some new rod bearings in, take off all the trim, glass, lights and hubcaps, put a small tank in the trunk, put the battery in the passenger floorboard, weld the spider gears together, and weld the doors shut, plus cut a hole in the hood

do the pits have power or will i need to bring a gas powered welder/generator? sawzall, sledghammer, spare tires rims and tubes, sheet metal scraps drill and screws, spare radiator maybe, and what else from experience is useful?
