I am about to apply for a promotion at a job I've been at for about 5 months. The manager asked me to forward the resume to HR. What is the best way to highlite managerial experience from college? Should I send a cover letter with the resume? 6/21/2006 9:58:43 AM |

You'd be crazy not to send a cover letter. That will give you a perfect opportunity to highlight your managerial experience. 6/21/2006 10:31:10 AM |

^^ I've applied for internal promotions (pharma manufacturing industry) and never needed a cover letter, since the hiring managers already knew me and my work.
if it were a bigger plant/operation/organization, i'd use a cover letter to show how your experience applies to the position posting 6/22/2006 2:14:18 PM |
