2:1 (2:1)

what does that ratio mean? the first one is the score. is the second one the ratio of the times they hav e met and wins/losses??

you are an idiot.

the abbreviation for the countries are to the left and right of the score.

for example:

USA 2:1 ITA

the score would be "USA 2 to 1 ovber Italy"

Well I haven't seen that at the World Cup obviously but in Cup games (Champions League, FA Cup, etc) the first score is the game score and the one on (..) is the aggregate score, or the combined score from the first & second legs of the round..

** Yeah that is what it is but I don't know why they have it in a World Cup game..

Hmmm.. that is strange. The only times I've ever seen it are in the CL and FA Cup and the sort..

Yeah, it's definitely half time score. All the games match up..

V nah.. look at SWE:ENG

2:2 (0:1)

at HT it was SWE 0:1 ENG
