WTF, it seems like its always like this...sometimes it says crap can't be accessed, sometimes it starts playing and then screws up, and rarely it works.

Anyone else have problems with on demand video from TWC? Is it a bandwidth issue, like later at night all the neighborhood kiddies are file trading and shit or is more complicated than that?

I had the same problem and got fed up with it (after 3 months) and called TWC. She explained that when a lot of people try to access the same show, it cannot access it. (We have two cable boxes) I go to cable box one, access Demand fine. Box 2, says it cannot access it. TWC rep doesn't believe me and has me go into the other room to try it again. We ended up going around in circles but she did give us a $20 credit. I'm guessing the 20 dollar amount was 3 months X 5.95 a month?? Bottom line, it's unfixable. I would say it's your box, but TWC can always say that its a "too many people trying to access it" issue if you do not have another box to compare it to. Ask to get another box. I ended up canceling demand because if of it

teh main thing to remember(correct me if Im wrong) is that TWC Broadband is not impacted by more users in your area, unless they are leeching your wireless...DSL, on the other hand, is dramatically impacted by other people in your area. Im not sure if Digital cable is affected by bandwidth either, as I regularly max out my bandwidth at 625kb/sec and* watch on demand ish, and dun have problems.
Go get a 8300 dvr box from them(you'll have to call ahead and reserve one, as they hold 10+ more hours of recordings then the 8200) and you should be straight. you can even type in what you're looking for, as opposed to scrolling...anyone that has ever looked for something in teh P's knows it takes almost 6 full minutes to scroll past "paid programming" entries!

i have infrequent problems...i guess something about bandwidth or use of the particular movie/tv show...but usually it works so it might just be temporary, i udnno

you've got it backwards, DSL offers you a fixed (normally slower) connection speed, you share cable bandwidth with your neighbors.

I've had the 8300 for 6 months, thats the box i'm having problems with. I'm about 90% sure the problem is bandwidth related but what do i know.
