on my r6 the oil pump cover was leaking. my buddy was tightening the new gasket and accidently cracked the oil pump cover. we're getting a new cover. we made sure to get all of the old gasket off and it was still leaking a little bit when the bike was running. we will also be getting a new gasket.

is there some sort of crap i can apply to aid the gasket in sealing?

Maybe you should look for other leaks just to make sure.

that red loctite stuff, cant think of the number now, its called flange sealant, spread it out thin and it seals under pressure, take it off, and you can wipe it right off, the days of silicone scraping are gone
