Need to get the brakes on my 97 Accord replaced. One of my friends was supposed to do it for me, but he's left town for a few months. So, I have all the parts but no tools nor the expertise to do it myself. I would go to J&J's but they charge quite a bit. If anyone here knows how to do it and would do it for cheap then let me know. damn, thats silly. i think you can convert to Acura hubs w/ regular rotors or something. I've never messed w/ this but a friend of mine was talking about it once.

J&J charges like $100/axle including all parts except the rotors. I already have all the parts, so anything reasonably cheaper will be good for me. 6/27/2006 10:55:37 AM |

it turns your rotors (machines them) without taking them off the hub. supposed to be truer than taking them off and machining them on a regular lathe and also in your case spares the extra time of taking the rotors off. they are convenient for 4wd vehicles and for strangely designed brake systems such as yours 6/27/2006 1:46:53 PM |

And interestingly enough it's the only factory approved method for machining Honda rotors.

If that includes parts & machining the rotors, that ain't bad at all...
