my girlfriend wants to know if the "veet bladeless razor thing" works, and if it's better than shaving 6/27/2006 11:48:47 AM |

I don't know about veet, but people who have used nair told me that it makes your legs smell like burnt hair for a week or two. 6/27/2006 11:53:33 AM |

Veet doesn't smell bad and you don't get all messy. 6/27/2006 11:56:26 AM |

It's not bad but shaving is more thorough. Veet's worked best of those kinds of products.

I kinda don't get Veet. You could just put Nair on your legs and then shower them off, like a lazy person. Or you could put Veet on your legs and fake shave it off. But if you do all that, you might as well just shave for real. 6/27/2006 12:06:12 PM |

I don't think it works well. it's supposed to make the hair take longer to regrow, but if you leave it on long enough to work, it burns and can leave rashes. if she has sensitive skin...or skin period really, i wouldnt use it. 6/27/2006 12:11:00 PM |

I don't really like it either - it doesn't really work smells funny and it grows back pretty fast. An easier, equally lazy way of shaving are the new Schick Intuition razors...they have this soapy stuff attached to the razor head and it takes about five seconds. The new Venus Vibrance razors work well, too it depends on how lazy you are. The Intuition is a faster shave, but you have to do it more frequently and the Vibrance provides a closer shave and you can shave less often. 6/27/2006 12:55:11 PM |

For me it left a rash and about half of the hair. Those sorts of things never work for me.
Waxing with a home waxing kit that you heat up in the microwave isn't bad as long as you're careful not to burn yourself. 6/27/2006 10:49:41 PM |

No, it doesn't work well and yes, it does have a lot of negative aspects. If it did work, women wouldn't shave. 6/27/2006 11:18:16 PM |

that stuff sucks, you're only supposed to use it on legs really, unless you want your privates, armpits, and back to burn. 6/28/2006 8:43:07 AM |

My fiancee tried it and basically it was a waste of money. It worked ahight, but for the time and effort it takes to put on (not to mention the cost), she could've just shaved and saved time/money.
Like others said, it irritated her skin a bit as well, which was the biggest problem to her. 6/28/2006 9:38:49 AM |
