So I don't know why, but all of a sudden the air conditioning on my 01 BMW 325ci has been acting funny. There are basically three air settings, defrost, head/face and legs, and you can set the knob between each to get some of both. Anyways, when I turn it onto the face setting, which is where it usually is, I can hear air blowing, but I don't feel it anywhere. However, when I turn it completely to the foot/leg setting, it comes out of the upper air vents at whatever strength I put it on, and not out of the lower ones at all. I mean, it works, it's just weird that it's backwards like this. Is this a premonition of something bad to come, and how much will it run me to get it fixed?

Had this same problem a few months ago... not necessarily the switch... could just be a leak in one of the vacuum lines... finding the leak is the hard part... the part should be cheap... the garage I took it to charged me $45...

So I figured it out. Basically, the settings go in a triangle of sorts with deforst on top, face/head on the bottom right and leg/foot on the bottom left.

If I turn it to leg/foot, it puts on the head/face fans. If I turn it to defrost, it puts on the leg/foot fans, and if I turn it to Head/face, it turns on the defroster. So basically, everything works it's just..in the wrong places...

I actually went by my mechanic's today when I was getting gas (it's a gas station with services bays) and he said it was a blown fuse and he replaced it, just didn't tell me.

you need to post a pic of yourself then. i bet you'd probably get a lot more free work done by the garage guys if that mechanic did it for free.

If I'm not confused, she was better looking then most of the broads TWW nerds drool over.

Not that it matters since Bimmer mechanics only care about $$$
