anyone done this? just curious on what mods you used.

I have tried using the "Community Builder" module. installed that then installed phpBB. Using the phpBB connector module to connect the two.

It looks kinda crappy. Not really that intergrated feel. just looks like a iFrame with inside of joomla.

I've always just used Simpleboard when I needed an integrated forum for a Mambo site. Check http://mamboforge.net for older versions.

I went with Joomlaboard Forum Component. I had already installed community builder and Joomlaboard supported a lot of community builder's functionality so I just went with that. It seems to lack a lot of administration and overall organization, but it gets the job done.

If I'm not mistaken Joomlaboard is the same as Simpleboard.
