Sigh I really wish I had time to watch during the school semester but that damn senior design thing *has* to get in the way. I'll try and catch a game whenever I can, provided they are even broadcast here.

^^ Fox Soccer Channel and Setanta/Sky Sports at bars.

^ No one yet. There's a lot of interest from Arsenal, but it's been said that he's just moving from Marseille to Lyon.

I like Tottenham Hotspur, but mostly just b/c of their name.

Ruud Van Nestelroy might be leaving Man U for Bayern Munich.

Excellent work vinylbandit. What's the source on Ronaldo staying at Old Trafford? Everywhere I read has him going to Barca/Real. Where do you usually look for that kind of stuff? I mostly read football365 and The Guardian

oh, also.. Ruud probably to Bayern or Real

[Edited on July 10, 2006 at 4:56 PM. Reason : missed it up there about Ruud]

To all the folks out there who don't get FSC or other soccer channels (like myself), go get TVants and search for the game streams on the internet. I watch live EPL streams for many of the games during the season on my computer and it's great!

"Queiroz Sent To Retrieve Ronaldo
Sir Alex Ferguson has sent United No.2 Carlos Queiroz on a last-ditch mission to persuade Cristiano Ronaldo to return to Old Trafford. Queiroz is so close to the winger that United players jokingly refer to him as Ronaldo's Dad, and Ferguson is banking on their relationship to heal the rift caused by the fallout over Wayne Rooney's red card in England's quarter-final defeat to Portugal.
Peter Edwards & John Edwards, Daily Mail
"

this is from manutd.com. Ronaldo said after they lost to germany that he wants to leave. England fans may hate him but united would be silly to sell him unless madrid breaks the bank. It is hard believe anything that comes out of the papers in europe. It is like reading stuff about celebs here.

I heard Riquelme is talking with Man U, not sure how accurate it was...but he would for sure help the midfield.

I know it isn't EPL, but what is the news about Juventus being relegated? That would open up alot of fantastic players. Many of which, would head to the EPL.

Juve's most likely going to Serie C or lower. I don't think there's any way around it, considering how the whole board quit, the new coach tried to commit suicide, and they've already been convicted in the court of Public Opinion

Man U just released their new retro kit for the season. I like the design but the AIG logo doesn't really have any appeal. They are keeping the Blues for away matches. While on the subject they are close to signing Kuszczak from West Brom to back Edwin

Quote :
"Ruud asks to leave United
Sir Alex Ferguson has sensationally revealed that United's Dutch striker Ruud van Nistelrooy has asked to leave the club.

The United boss confirmed the news as the team landed in Durban as the Reds start a ten-day tour of South Africa. Sir Alex also revealed that there has already been contact from Real Madrid and Bayern Munich for the 30-year-old's services .

"I am waiting for David Gill [United chief executive] to fill me in, but Ruud van Nistelrooy has asked to leave the club," the manager told MUTV. "There may be some interest from Real Madrid and Bayern Munich."

Speculation has been rife that van Nistelrooy would leave the club this summer. He was left out of United's side to face Charlton on the final day of the season, with Sir Alex citing issues around "the spirit of the club" for his exclusion. Since then, reports have persistently linked the Dutchman with a move away from Old Trafford.

Ruud said whilst on international duty with Holland at the 2006 World Cup finals that he would decide his future before the start of the season.

The player's agent, Roger Linse, has confirmed that van Nistelrooy wanted to resolve his future before he was due back for pre-season training with United on 24 July.

It now appears certain the Dutchman, who has scored 150 goals for United in five years since joining from PSV Eindhoven for £19million in 2001, will leave the club, with Real Madrid and Bayern Munich first in the queue.

"

I hope that they will sell him for more then they bought him. Maybe they could trade him to bayern for owen hargraves and some cash.

Have Real still got Gravesen? Trade Ruud for him.

^ The new one is only bad because it has those little Nike flourishes. It's essentially the same as the classic Arsenal shirt from the '60s, and not much different than the Sega/Dreamcast-sponsored shirts they wore just before the last shield change. Personally, I think this is the best modern interpretation of the Arsenal shirt, minus the not-yet-perfected mesh placement:

30 points means Juve won't be making it out of Serie B next season, either.

In other news, a Verona team in the Champions League .
