If you want it to be fast you have to paint it black or "international orange"

then you can be as fast as the REAL Black Pearl-

yes, I am aware of the procedures, and the proper measures are being taken. And she will be fast.

Nothing good from this thread yet...

Yea, its the guy at the sail club's truck. He works on all sizes of boats, but it is a little much for a Cat 22.

You really need to know the context in which that phrase was coined.

During the Volvo around the world race, these Volvo Open 70 monohulls were ripping across the open ocean at 25 knots. They have hydraulically canting keels on them, 10 tons of lead can swing from side to side using giant hydraulic rams giving these boats huge righting moment allowing them to carry suicidal amounts of sail area.

Well not even a week into the race, these boats hydraulic systems started blowing up. The sailing brotherhood over on Sailinganarchy.com (who can be even more vicious, biting, painfully sarcastic as any tdubber in history) started calling into question the engineering and build quality put into these boats... throwing all kinds of mud at well-respected naval architecture firms, and solid, reputable boat builders who were involved in these cutting-edge boats.

Well the ground crew manager for one of the teams (Movistar, which coincidentally sank in the middle of the Atlantic on the 2nd to last leg, same leg that a sailor fell overboard and died) wrote a tirade for the front editorial page of sailinganarchy.com that basically said that we were all a bunch of "limp-wristed faggots that get your kicks sailing around on 4 knot shitboxes while we're out blasting across oceans at full bore... shit is going to break... blah blah"

so ... now even though my boat tops out around 27 knots, I sail a 4 knot shitbox thanks to Seppo (who was fired from the team after this was printed) from team Movistar (which sank)
