i am interested in buying my first motorcycle. i am taking a class in a few weeks and if eveything goes well, i plan to get one. i dont need anything expensive, and nothing too nice (but if the price is right and the bike is good) we can work something out. PM me with any info as well as pics.
thanks.

Yeah-- what kind of bike are you looking to buy?
I'm hoping to sell mine for an upgrade sometime in the near future-- it's a great bike if you're just learning & cruising to class around NCSU. 7/14/2006 3:52:56 PM |

the class lowers insurance rates, which is another reason i am taking the class.
anyone know of motorcycle repair shops- mechanic/body work close to the glenwood area. 7/24/2006 2:37:21 PM |

i didn't take a class, but i grew up riding dirt bikes, and my first street bike was an '82 SECA 400. I also read Twist Of the Wrist II, by Keith Code.
if you haven't ridden much, the class is a great idea.
that, and some good gear.7/24/2006 3:30:40 PM |

Whatever you do... do NOT take anything to Barnett's Suzuki over near the Farmer's Market... your bike will come back missing its original components and have shitty barely functional replacements... and that's just the tip of the iceberg. If you don't mind a bit of a drive and you end up with a Honda or Yamaha then you could take your bike out to Team Powersports off hwy 70. They're really good at what they do, but they usually won't touch other makes b/c they simply dont have the specs for them. 7/24/2006 11:39:03 PM |

^^I used to ride out to Team Powersports to get parts for my GSX-R (even though they're not even a Suzuki dealer), simply because I refused to deal with Barnett's, and Team Powersports was closer than Kaw/Suzuki of Durham. 7/25/2006 1:43:56 AM |

^ oh cool... i didn't know that they would do that.
also, over in North Raleigh there is another Suzuki/Yamaha/Kawasaki/Ducati dealer .... not sure if they're actually new or if they just moved into a new building behind Sheetz out there... but they're really nice and only about a half hour away from NCSU. 7/25/2006 10:06:39 AM |
