I'm ordering the new Michelin Pilots from the same place I am getting all of my major service parts for the Duc from online and I've been looking for somewhere local to put the tires on the wheels. I went to CycleGear and their prices for the tires I am getting were insanely high and then they want 30 per wheel to put the tires on when you are just bringing them the free wheels. Team Powersports wants 25 per wheel for the same thing. Anyone find any better deals or am I being too hopeful? It costs more to have two tires put on bike wheels that aren't even attached to the bike than it does to have four car wheels done with them pulling the wheels off.

i go to power sports. they do it right then and there. fuck cycle gear you have to set up an appointment to do it since they dont do it daily (only "special" ppl mount the tires). there prices are not much better than powersports this is true.

My new Pirelli is supposed to be in next week. I like those guys at Cycle Gear, but I think we're just going to put on here. Doubt you want to do that to your bike though.

Yeah, everything; the tires themselves, the mounting and balancing were all more expensive at Cycle Gear than at Team Powersports. I'll probably stop by the Duc dealership on Lake Wheeler and call Matison, since I bought my bike there. I've always found life to be more pleasent when you have a working relationship with a dealer.

we mounted a front tire on WMVlad007's gixxer right here at my place tonight oldchool style with tire irons and screwdrivers. doubt i would want to do it on a ducati for cheaper than team powersports though. i know on my bike i can also use regular car tire changers to swap tires on my hawk, so any mexican car shop could swap mine if i ever wanted to do so, but i have dingle front rotor and single sided swing arm making it a lil different up front. rears should be same way, it is also possible to use regular car balancer at least for the rear

I did mine my dad's garage. A vice to break the beads, 2 24" tire irons with a few cut coke bottles. Then static balance over a pair of jack stands. Cost - 16 bucks for a pair of tire irons from northern.

Oh yeah, I'm assuming you're talking about Pilot Powers? That what I put on and I'm liking them a lot.

i mounted mine on my tire machine at work didnt scrach it or scuff it. pretty simple, but i couldnt balance it
