I checked around on this extensively. The cheapest place I could find was called "Lock and Bolt Mini-Storage". It is located about a half mile past the 70-401 split in Garner, about 15 minutes from campus.
I don't think they offer climate controlled, and I can't quote an exact price. But if you are looking for the cheapest place to stash some stuff, this is the one. It's a family owned business and the guys are really nice to work with.

How much do you need to store? Some places are better for the 5'X5' and others are better for the bigger ones. 7/19/2006 8:46:54 AM |

We use Ample storage off Diggs, I like them never had an issue, close to campus. They let us have 2 units while moving one unit to another and we paid the cost of the cheaper unit. 7/19/2006 11:20:28 AM |

~42 per month for a 10x5 non-climate controlled at the ample storage off lake wheeler/440. Startup fee is like 10 or 15 bucks. No problems with it the past few months. Didn't really care if it was a deal or not, just got the cheapest I could find that was close to Tryon Rd. Most other storage around State is gonna be around 60-70 for same amount of space cause they know they can usually rip off college students. 7/19/2006 10:26:36 PM |
