Rivers had a lot stronger arm than most people give him credit for.

He's no Favre, but it's not so weak he's going to be the next Danny Wuerffel

whitlock writes hilarious articles...he's 1 of my favorites for his sarcasm, not his accuracy.

i dont think he takes it seriously anyways

besides, he picks the ravens lol

kinda irrelevant but

I just watched all of the sidebar video clips on espn's nfl home page, and I've dishoned them as a credible sports information source.

^^^^ yes, dishoned

we now have our own Michael Vick on the Saints

the media hype is already so gratuitous, that actual fans won't be able to justify any shortcomings while casual fans who don't know shit will trot out lines of excuses as to why he didn't do well, making the rest of us look bad

this has potential to be a very ungood situation

well... technically he finished his career #2, Chang passed him either the next year or the year after... and taht was just because ofa throw-happy Hawaii systm...

he did finish as A ncaa record holder, it was just the record for most consecutive games started...

i think the guy justifies his stupidity further along in the article by saying harrington will beat out culpepper by midseason and by picking the ravens to win the superbowl.

the guys a fucking idiot.

Watch out for Texas Tech's new QB. The guy has three years of eligibility and apparently was a bad ass high school QB. They said he was 26-28 in the spring game so he knows the offense already. Plus knowing that every TT QB gets 5000+ yds a year, he'll have a good shot to top Chang.

Dan Le Betard just said on the Sports Reporters that from what he's seen from Philip Rivers that he thinks he can be right up there with Peyton Manning and Carson Palmer when its all said and done.

i'm sure we all know espn isn't the most credible news source ever. take for example it's front page attempts at helping a shitty punk band make it big:

http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/news/story?id=2623207

Quote :
"The song's title "encompasses all the chain of events and the decisions made, the avenues took, splitting up," Jacobson says. "If you really think about it, converging elements … it was suicide. Combat suicide." "

i didnt read any more of the article, but i'm sure there are better quotes than this.

He made some stupid comments in this but he did get a couple of things exactly right:

Quote :
"Joey Harrington is going to beat out Daunte Culpepper by midseason."

and

Quote :
"Ben Roethlisberger's motorcycle accident will negatively impact his performance this season. "
