My LCD screen in my laptop has went out for the 2nd time now. I don't know how to describe it but the light seems to burn out and everything goes black, but I can hold a light on my screen and I can barely see it. Does anyone know somewhere or someone in Raleigh who can fix this for cheaper than the $698 that HP is offering to fix it? Thanks!

Sounds like the backlight in your screen burnt out. For nearly 700 dollars you can pick up a nice used laptop.

Intrex will replace it, might cost ya though. Pretty easy to do but in the wrong hands it could be a royal pain in the ass.

similiar problem, it starts with the pixels messing up on graphics ect. wrong color, blurry, etc. then the screen might start to blink off, might come back after a while but normally just stays black

Warp computers on capital can usually replace inverter boards, backlights, etc. Diagnostics is $45 if you want to get it looked at there.
