I observe that if it's raining or something, there's some rust on the rotors. It goes away after using the brakes the first time, but I was wondering if that's normal or a sign of wear.
The brakes don't squeal or anything. 7/23/2006 1:06:14 AM |

Well, they ARE cast iron, which rusts pretty damn easily.
Pretty cool to drive a car that's been sitting for a while and listening to the rust scrubbing off when you hit the brakes.
So totally normal that, if it wasn't happening, you would be dead from the lack of oxygen in your atmosphere... 7/23/2006 4:29:53 AM |

is that sound a dragging sound? I hear that sometimes but when I got it checked, no problems were found with the brakes. 7/23/2006 12:34:06 PM |

^^ It actually kinda makes my car vibrate...and seems to come from the rear brakes. And then, I hear the same dragging when I get a good carwash for a while...I got the brakes checked and they still got life according to the fine mechanic. 7/23/2006 6:17:18 PM |
